As we alluded to earlier, players are already consuming gaming content on mobile devices. More importantly, tablets are growing in popularity as gaming devices. A recent study by Google shows tablet users are spending more time on their tablets playing games than with social media. (Checking e-mail is still the top use.) And a report by mobile games maker PopCap found half of all game play time took place on a mobile device, with 13 percent of the play happening on a tablet. As the adoption of mobile devices like smartphones and tablets grows, and as new generations of players become mobile native, the importance for delivering online gaming content to smartphones and tablets will become critical.
