Chile and Argentina follow close behind. As the countries in Latin America build their infrastructure, the value of the Latin American market will rise exponentially, making it a critical place to set up shop. BRAZIL Brazil is easily Latin America’s most populous country, with a little more than 191 million people, according to a 2009 population estimate. Brazil also has the highest penetration rate for mobile broadband in Latin America with about 21 subscriptions per 100 people, according to a Council of the Americas report. Poker, both land- based and online, is incredibly popular in Brazil. In 2014, Brazil’s Bruno Politano became the first Brazilian to reach the World Series of Poker Main Event final table. He won $947,172 for finishing in eighth place. Brazilians also enjoy playing bingo, slot machines and betting on horse racing.
