chance to provide players with a new
and different experience several times a

different forms.
Paddy Power purchased Bulgarian game
developer Cayetano in 2011. Playtech
has added a series of branded slots to its
offering, including the X Factor Judges’
Jackpot, Monty Python’s Spamalot!, Iron
Man, The Incredible Hulk and X-Men.
Microgaming also has its share of
branded slots, including The Dark Knight,

video games with online slot machines. In this game, you have six “lives” and your job
is to shoot alien space ships – sort of like Space Invaders. Each time a ship is killed is
considered an accepted wager, and players can win – or not win – random amounts of
money for each ship killed.
In essence, killing a ship is like hitting the spin button on an online slot. And the
player’s “win” or lack thereof pops up on the screen after the killed ship disappears
from the screen. The game has nine levels, with the traditional big creature/ship to kill
at the end of each level.
Slot game play isn’t the only place where online casinos are experimenting. The online
casinos market – traditionally the domain of the RNG – has seen an influx of live dealer
play over the past few years.
In 2008, $18.7 billion was wagered on live dealer games at online casinos, according to
Global Betting and Gaming Consultants (GBGC). GBGC estimates $40.8 billion will be
wagered on live dealer games in 2012 – a growth of 118 percent over four years.
Initially, live dealer casinos were generally found among smaller and more specialized
brands, like DublinBet and Lucky Live Casino. In fact, at DublinBet you can play
multiple live tables at the same time. But now, the biggest operators in the world
offer live dealer gaming, including William Hill, 888 and bet365.
